Christie NTP Laparoscopic Masterclass Education Day - February 2012

On Tuesday 21st February the NTP Lapco team held a live theatre masterclass at The Christie Hospital Manchester. The event was opened by Chief Executive Caroline Shaw who welcomed over 130 delegates to the masterclass.  Attendees from the professional and surgical team attended including medical students, theatre nurses, junior doctors, SpRs and Consultants.

The event was lead by NTP Trainer Selva Sekar, with other Faculty members including NTP trainers David Watson,  Professor Amjad Parvaiz, and Alan Horgan.  Other Faculty members involved with the presentations included Consultant colleagues from The Christie.

Selva Sekar comments "We were delighted to host the masterclass at The Christie, our education centre was at full seated capacity, and it was fantastic to see the interest, and support for development laparoscopic colorectal surgery accross the North West. Our internal AV links and supporting team were available to ensure that we could broadcast live theatre to the delegates. We look forward to hosting another successful masterclass in the future."
